Our promise
WeddingStreet.in exists to give Indian couples and families honest, useful information for one of the biggest decisions of their lives. We write for readers, not for vendors or advertisers. Every page has a named author, every page with prices or capacities is checked by a named reviewer, and every estimate says where it came from.
How we research
- We gather prices from vendor quotes, rate cards, venue visits and conversations with couples who have recently married.
- We prefer ranges over single numbers, because real prices vary with date, guest count and negotiation.
- We say which city and year a figure applies to. Most of our figures are for Delhi NCR unless stated otherwise.
- We visit or speak to venues before describing them, and we never copy descriptions from vendor marketing.
How we estimate
Our calculators and cost pages use published assumption sets: base cost per guest, city factors, duration and style factors, and category splits. Assumptions are reviewed at least twice a year and each version is dated. We round totals above ₹10,000 to the nearest ₹100 and always round countable items — plates, bottles, rooms, cards — up, never down. Every result is a planning estimate, not a quotation. Review and fact-checking
Factual pages — city and destination guides, vendor guides, budget pages and comparisons — are reviewed by a fact-checker before publishing, and the reviewer’s name and review date appear on the page. See our fact-checking policy.
Independence
Advertisers, sponsors and affiliate partners have no say over what we write, which options we recommend, or our verdicts. Sponsored content is labelled "Sponsored". Affiliate links are disclosed. Read our advertising policy and affiliate disclosure.
Examples, names and dummy content
Where we use example venues, vendors or couples to illustrate a point, we say so. During development, some pages carry placeholder content that is clearly marked and will be replaced before launch.
Updates and corrections
We review cost pages at least once a year and whenever readers report a change. Mistakes are corrected promptly and significant corrections are noted on the page; see our corrections policy.
