Fact-checking policy

How WeddingStreet.in fact-checks prices, capacities and claims on wedding guides, and how reviewers are shown on each page.

Carved archway and door in Jaipur
The short answer Every WeddingStreet.in page with prices, capacities or factual claims is checked by a named reviewer before publishing. This page explains what we check, how, and how we show it.

What we check

  • Every price and price range, against at least two independent sources where possible.
  • Capacities, room counts and distances.
  • Seasonal and weather claims.
  • Rules and regulations such as music cut-offs and permissions, which we describe in general terms and recommend confirming locally.

Who checks

Factual pages are reviewed by a fact-checker who did not write them. The reviewer’s name and the review date appear at the top of the page. City guides, destination guides, vendor guides, budget pages and comparisons cannot be published without a reviewer.

How we show uncertainty

We use ranges, say which city and year a figure applies to, and label estimates as estimates. When we cannot verify something, we leave it out rather than guess.

Keeping pages current

Cost pages are re-checked at least annually. If you see something out of date, please tell us through the contact page; our corrections policy explains what happens next.
