Who we are
WeddingStreet.in ("we", "us") is an independent wedding information website. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we act as the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this website. Contact: hello@weddingstreet.in.
What we collect
- No accounts. You do not need to register or log in to use the site or the calculators.
- Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to us or stored on our servers.
- Forms. When you contact us, subscribe, or submit a wedding, venue or business, we collect the details you enter, such as your name, email, phone number and message.
- Analytics. We use privacy-conscious analytics to understand which pages are useful. This collects technical data such as pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device type and referring site. See our cookie policy.
Why we use it
- To reply to your message or process your submission.
- To send the newsletter, only with your consent.
- To improve the site and keep it secure.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share your details with vendors or advertisers.
Consent and the newsletter
We send the newsletter only if you give clear, affirmative consent by subscribing. You can withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to us; withdrawal is as easy as giving consent.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may request a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it, nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, and raise a grievance with us. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Retention
We keep form submissions only as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe. We then delete or anonymise it.
Security
We use reasonable security safeguards, including encrypted connections and restricted access, to protect personal data against breaches. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify affected users and the Board as required by law.
Children
This website is intended for adults planning weddings. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
