Invitation & Distribution Calculator

For 500 guests invited by family, you need about 200 invitation sets plus a 5% buffer, so 210 cards. Sending 30% on WhatsApp leaves 147 to hand deliver, and standard cards at ₹50 cost about ₹10,500. Enter your guests, sending style, card type and distribution to plan your invitations.

    Quick insights

    Quick tips

    What affects your invitation count?

    Guest list

The starting point for every card, whether you count guests or families.

    Family or individual

Inviting by household needs about 60% fewer cards than one per guest.

    Card type

Premium cards cost about three times standard ones, so the choice drives the total.

    Digital share

Sending more on WhatsApp reduces hand deliveries and the effort of distributing cards.

    Methodology

    How this is calculated

The invitation calculator turns your guest list into invitation sets, using about 2.5 guests per family invitation, one per guest, or your own count. It adds a buffer, splits the total between online and hand delivery, and estimates the printing cost for standard or premium cards.

Invitation sets = guests ÷ 2.5 when inviting by family (a planning assumption), guests when sending one per guest, or your own count, rounded up.

Extra buffer = sets × buffer % (5% by default), rounded up; total to prepare = sets + buffer.

Sent online = total × online share (0% hand delivered, 100% online, or your chosen share for mixed), rounded; the rest are hand delivered.

Card cost = total to prepare × ₹50 standard or ₹150 premium per card.

    • Delivery and design costs are not included.
