How it is derived:
Quick insights
What affects your room block?
Outstation guests
Only guests who need a bed count. Local family and day guests do not.
Number of nights
Each extra night adds a full round of room nights and breakfasts.
Room sharing
Double and triple sharing cut the room count sharply; mixed sharing sits between.
Hotel category
Budget, standard, premium and luxury set the room rate, breakfast and extra-bed prices.
How this is calculated
The guest stay calculator works out rooms from the number of guests and how they will share, then prices the room block using the room rate for your hotel category, breakfast for every guest each day, an extra-bed allowance on shared rooms and 12% taxes and hotel charges.
Rooms = guests ÷ guests per room, rounded up; mixed sharing puts 60% of guests in doubles and 40% in triples.
Room stay = rooms × nights × the room rate (₹1,500 budget, ₹2,500 standard, ₹4,000 premium, ₹7,000 luxury per room-night).
Breakfast = guests × nights × ₹180 to ₹650 per guest by category; an extra bed is added to 10% of shared rooms each night (not for single sharing).
Taxes and hotel charges of 12% are added to the subtotal. 4+ nights is calculated as 4 nights.
- Group rates negotiated for a room block are often 10–20% below the rack rate.
