How we evaluate
We judge venues and vendors on what matters to couples: value for money, transparency of pricing, quality of work across full events (not just highlights), reliability, and how they treat guests and families. Where we can, we speak to couples who have used them.
Hospitality and freebies
Our writers may accept a site visit or a tasting that any prospective couple would be offered. We do not accept paid stays, gifts or payment in exchange for coverage. If a visit was hosted in a way that goes beyond what couples would normally receive, we disclose it on the page.
No pay-for-placement
Vendors cannot pay to be included in our guides, to improve how they are described or to remove criticism. Paid placements, where they exist, are clearly labelled "Sponsored" and are separate from editorial lists. See our vendor listing policy.
