Marriage bells for television actors Dimple Rose and Meghna Vincent

Popular actors Dimple Rose and Meghna Vincent are entering the marital bliss. While Dimple is marrying Kochi-based businessman Anson, Meghna is marrying Dimple's brother Don. 

The two beautiful actresses, who got engaged last year, have spent their spare time in planning and organising a dream like formal betrothal function and weddings. 

The couples will have a joint betrothal function on April 22. While Dimple and Anson will tie the knot on April 26, Meghna and Don will get married on April 30. 




The couples have not left any stone unturned while organising their nuptials. They will have a pre-wedding function - a sangeet, haldi and mehndi ceremonies - on April 21st evening which will be a grand affair.

Director Vinayan’s daughter Nikita gets married

Malayalam director Vinayann’s daughter Nikita got married to Nikhil Menon in Kochi on Wednesday. The wedding was held at Bhaskareeyam convention centre in Kochi.


The groom us an employee of Google currently settled in the US. The star-studded wedding was attended by Indrajith, Dileep, Nyla Usha, Siddique, Mallika Sukumaran, Ponnamma Babu, Chippi, Captian Raju and Ramesh Pisharady.

India's youngest MP ties the knot

INLD MP Dushyant Chautala married Meghna, daughter of an IPS officer on Tuesday. The lavish wedding was held at a five-star hotel in Gurgaon.


The wedding was attended by many political bigwigs, including Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki, Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar, Steel Minister Birender Singh, Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister of State for Agriculture Sanjeev Balyan and many prominent leaders from Haryana.


Yoga guru Baba Ramdev was also on the guest list.


Dushyant who represents Hisar Lok Sabha constituency is the youngest MP ever elected to Parliament (he was 26 at the time of election). Dushyant has got a long political lineage as he is the son of politician Ajay Chautala, the grandson of former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala and the great-grandson of former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhary Devi Lal.


The bride Meghna Alhawat is the daughter of Paramjit Singh Ahlawat, an IG rank officer in Haryana Police.

Dushyant's father and grandfather are serving a 10-year jail term in the Junior Basic Trained (JBT) teachers' recruitment scam case and are currently out on parole for the wedding.





Actor Dhyan Sreenivasan gets engaged to Arpita

Malayalam actor Dhyan Sreenivasan got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Arpita Sebastian in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. The private function was held at Taj Vivanta and was attended only by close family and friends.




The couple will tie the knot on April 7 at Wasava Cliff House in Kannur and a grand reception will be organised on April 10 at Gokulam Park, Kochi, which will be attended by the who's who of the film industry.


Dhyan, who made his debut in the 2013 film 'Thira', is the younger son of veteran Malayalam actor, screenwriter and director Sreenivasan and the younger brother of actor, director, playback singer, screenwriter and producer Vineeth Sreenivasan. Arpita is a native of Pala and is an IT professional currently working at Technopark. 


Other than Thira, Kunjiramayanam and Adi Kappyare Koottamani are Dhyan's notable movies.


Couple caught up in traffic has their first dance on highway

Have you ever thought about what you will do if you get stuck in a heavy traffic while en route to your own wedding? Well, it will definitely speed up your heart beats, especially if you are a Hindu bride/groom. Remember we have to tie the knot within the auspicious time.


A couple from the US Jeff and Rebecca Payne had a similar experience on their wedding day. Luckily (not sure of that) the couple were stuck in the traffic on their way to the wedding reception hall (normally a 10 minute drive) not the actual ceremony.




They were stalled along with the wedding party for an hour in a giant traffic block caused by an accident. While they were in the car a fellow motorist spotted them and suggested to do their first dance then and there itself.


The wedding party too loved the idea and after their persuasion, the couple got out of the car and did a slow dancing to Alison Krauss’ “When You Say Nothing At All,” which one of the bystanders played for them through a car stereo.


While the newlyweds and the wedding party enjoyed the dance other motorists watched and filmed the happy couple taking one of the first steps into their new life.


The couple was finally freed from the gridlock when one of the friends of the groom's father pulled up in the opposite lane and took them to the wedding reception.

‘Bellary king’ conducts Rs 500 crore lavish wedding amid cash crunch

The wedding of 21-year-old Brahmani Reddy to industrialist Rajiv Reddy will stay in the news for a long time as the extravaganza and the opulence with which former minister and mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy organised his daughter's wedding have managed to raise many eyebrows.

The reported 500 crore wedding budget has irked many and is reportedly under the radar of income tax sleuths.



The multi-crore wedding was attended by more than 50,000 guests, including many politicians from both the ruling and opposing parties and numerous celebrities from Telugu, Tamil and Kannada film industries.


As the tainted former minister who is out on bail was banned by the Supreme Court from entering Bellary, he recreated his hometown in Bangalore Palace grounds.

The enormous set which was erected for the wedding was based on the erstwhile empire of Vijayanagara, completed with temples of Hampi and Tirupati. The ancestral houses of both the bride and the groom were recreated on the 36-acre palace ground and a replica of the bride's former school was also erected there.

The Tirupati temple recreated at the palace grounds by the art team he hired from Bollywood was complete with seven doors of the famed temple that led up to the wedding ‘mandap’ fashioned like the original temple which was adorned with a 10-feet idol of Lord Balaji.



The inside of the wedding hall was also like a royal palace with fountains, pillars with intricate designs, orchids and other ornamentals flowers adored all the wall. While, the bride and her family were adorned in diamonds and gold from head to toe, the utensils used for the wedding rituals were either gold or silver.


According to reports, the bride was wearing a wedding saree worth rs 17 crore and her diamond jewellery is worth about rs 90 core!



The wedding procession on the previous day included artistes and dancers from different parts of the country and also many Samba dancers from Brazil.


Well, those who know Janardhan Reddy is not surprised with this opulence, as the mining czar believe he is the reincarnation of the powerful Vijayanagara King Krishnadevaraya!


Other than the ministers, MPs, MLAs and other politicians the wedding was attended by many film stars, including Tamil actors Vishal, Radhika, Meena, Telugu actors Brahmanandam, Sharath Babu, B Sarojadevi, Malashri, Saikumar, Sadhu Kokila, Suman, Kannada stars Puneeth Rajkumar, Ravichandran, Geetha Shivarajkumar, director Sai Prakash, Jayanthi, Dwarakish, Jaggesh, Srinath, Ganesh, Bullet Prakash etc...




Well, the wedding extravaganza didn't end there the couple and their families had a procession on Wednesday evening on chariots just like the erstwhile royal families. The festival is still on and the couple and some of the guests will now travel to Bellary in special aircraft where rest of the bash will take place.


Meanwhile, speculations are going on the source of the former minister's income as his assets were frozen by the court earlier and he was in jail for the past 4 years, he took a right step while selecting the return gifts. All the wedding guests were given sandalwood and tulsi saplings along with a box of sweets as return gifts!
