Maria, Pradeep and their beautiful tale of love

 20-Jan-2017    By  Asha Parvathy

It is said that 'distance means so little when someone means so much'. Well, those who have been in a long distance relationship could relate to it easily. So think how it will be to a couple who had a long distance arranged marriage.

Maria Thomas and Pradeep Antony could relate to it very easily. Maria, a native of Ponkunnam, Kottayam, and Pradeep, from Thrissur and settled in the US, had a proper arranged marriage. It was their parents who arranged the alliance through a matrimonial site. But thanks to modern technologies they got to knew each other through IMO and love blossomed.

They had to wait a few more months to have an actual meeting outside the virtual world. To make their first meeting more memorable Pradeep presented a stunning watch to his future wife.

After months of waiting they officially got engaged on October 29 at Pala Kizathadiyoor Church. For the function, Maria wore a beautiful saree in candy red from Jayalakshmi and Pradeep complemented her in a traditional Kerala ensemble also from Jayalakshmi. The pretty lady's ornaments were from Sangeetha Jewellery. Her makeup was done at Maya's Beauty Clinic, Kottayam.

The Church function was followed by a reception at the Sunstar Convention Centre, Pala. The event was organised by Parnasala Event Mangement, Kanjirappally.

As per traditions, the bride's family organised a 'madhuramveppu' function on the wedding eve and Maria looked pretty in a peach lehenga with mirror works from Milan Design.

For their wedding on November 3, the bride wore a custom-made saree from Label M. Her pretty embellished saree, though is based on the standard colour instructed by the religion, was like a breath of fresh air with its intricate gold and colourful sequence works. The groom also looked handsome in a suit he bought from the US.

The wedding was solemnised at Edapally Church, Ernakulam. A grand wedding reception was later held at the Bolgatty Convention Centre, and for the reception the bride wore the 'mathrakodi' in gold and pink from Jayalakshmi.  Her bridal look was accessorised with gold and precious stone jewellery from Joy Alukkas.

Her makeup was done by famous artist Jaanmoni Das.

The wedding was based on the colour schemes white and pink. The function was conceptualised and organised by Creattio Events Weddings & Hospitality Services, Kochi. The wonderful moments were canned by the team from XD Creation, Thrissur.
