White can be a tricky bridal colour

Oct 19 2018     By Asha Parvathy

White is a Christian bride's must bridal colour, but other Indian brides are famous for their colourful outfits.

The ongoing India Couture Week, 2016, has brought to light a new trend among the brides - the white wedding outfits.

The top designers of India who showcased their latest wedding collections on the ramp opted for ivory, cream and white instead of the usual reds and maroons.

Designers like Anamika Khanna, Rahul Mishra and Rimple & Harpreet Narula all proved that white can be an attractive colour for the brides.

The wise use of ivory and gold combined with floral motifs gave the bridal wears a distinctive look. If you are not a big fan of a white lehenga then you can easily mix and match it with other colours.

While you go soft on the colour of your wedding attire you can easily compensate it with bold red lips or strong smokey eyes.

Heavy gold jewellery also goes perfectly with whites and creams.
