Wedding favours or return gifts are a big part of every wedding. We know it is not that easy to decide on a wedding favour when the market is filled with a plethora of options.
As we are living in the age of cash crunch, don't you think it will be a big waste of money if your gift would end up in the trash as soon as the wedding guests get home. So why not give them something useful and at the same time pocket-friendly. Here are some suggestions from our side.
Potted plants or a small pack of seeds in a jute bag are a great choice for the couples who want to conduct an eco-friendly green wedding. Those guests who don't have enough space in their yard or are leaving in high rises could decorate their homes with the potted plants or grow the seeds in grow bags.
Another option is to give colourful succulents in pretty containers. It can be used to decorate homes and offices. They also serve as great table centrepieces. So it will be a useful gift to the wedding guests.
You could give your guests flip-flops as a return gift if your post-wedding reception includes a lot of dancing. These flip-flops will be a great relief to the women as they can kick off their heels and hit the dance floor comfortably. Not just women it will also be helpful to male guests too as the flip-flops would allow their feet to breath.
Coasters, spoons or chopsticks are some of the useful everyday household items. So why not make them return gifts.
A miniature tote bag in jute (don't forget eco-friendly) with a temporary tattoo paper inside will also be useful to the guests.
You can add a personal touch to the return gifts by creating small recipe cards and adding one of the main ingredients of the recipe along with the card. The guests could go home and try the recipe with the main ingredient packed along with it.
Giving away spices as a return gift will also be a great idea. Get some spices in pretty and tiny glass jars and gift it to the wedding guests. You could also replace the spices with flavoured tea dust.
As the discussion has touched the edible return gifts how we could forget our traditional wedding gift - the chocolates. Don't forget to give them in creative packages.
Like chocolate, jams or honey will also be loved by most of the wedding guests. Like the spices get some tiny glass jars and fill it with the treat.
You could also gift them handmade soaps. To make it less expensive you should directly contact any of the cottage industry people who could get you them at a discount.
If you want you add small colourful umbrellas or scented candles to the gift list.
