The trend of stitching your love story on your wedding attire was started in India by designer Kresha Bajaj. While she was getting it done she may not even have the faintest idea that she is setting a trend for many other girls to follow.
The fashion statement has been picked up by many brides these days, including South Indian actress Samantha Prabhu who recently got engaged to actor Naga Chaitanya. She actually approached Kresha Bajaj to do the love story engagement saree.
The custom-made saree in off-white colour had the actors' love story immortalised in intricate gold embroidery. It had images of them from their first movie, the proposal, first official appearance as a couple at the engagement ceremony of her Naga Chaitanya's brother Akhil.
Following their footsteps, another bride has recently come up with her own version of love story bridal wear. The bride Astha Arora, who is a Ludhiana-based stylist and designer, wore a gorgeous green lehenga for her sangeet ceremony. Her lehenga is embroidered with various moments from her love story with Aziz Arora her beau.
She included their special moments into her lehenga and looks stunning in it. Astha also said that she was inspired by Kresha's bridal wear.
