Dr Vineet John Kurisungal met Dr Annu Susan Abraham through mutual friends. As love blossomed the families gave their blessings and decided the fate of the couple.
As the soon-to-be bride was a final year MBBS student both the families decided to wait a couple of months to make the formal announcements.
Even after the alliance being a properly arranged one, the couple had a cute and romantic proposal on July 22. Vineet took an unsuspecting Annu to dinner at the Casino Hotel at Wellingdon Islands and surprised her with a romantic proposal.
After months of courting, the couple tied the knot on January 31, 2016, at St Mary's Cathedral with blessings of the family and friends.
The bride wore a classical Banarasi silk cream colour saree and accessorised it with a stunning diamond necklace from Sunny Diamonds, Kochi, and matching bangles from Surendra & Co, Chennai. She found her dream-like saree from an exhibition cum sale held at the Taj Gateway Hotel.
On the wedding day, the groom also looked dapper in a Vera Wang two piece tuxedo and bow tie which he picked up from the US.
The bride was accompanied by four bridesmaids who were in pretty peach sarees and floral blouses. And the 6 groomsmen complimented the pretty ladies in their black suits and colour coordinated peach ties.
After the beautiful evening church function, the wedding party soon moved to Crowne Plaza, Kochi, for a fun filled reception.
By then the bride had changed to her 'manthrakodi' - a Pink and golden Banarasi saree from Jayalakshmi and to suit the gold highlights of the saree she wore custom-made gold jewellery from MoD Signature Jewellery.
The theme of the wedding was white, pink and gold and the Fonix Wedding Planners did a great job which is worth mentioning. As it was a late evening function they used lights to their advantage. A pretty photo booth was also arranged for the wedding guests.
The decor added to the romantic atmosphere as the couple had their first dance as man and wife to the song 'Main Hoon Hero Tera'.
