Organising a wedding that will be etched in the memory of all the wedding guests is not that easy, especially during the time of cash crunch. So why not think out of the box and turn your everyday objects to wedding party decor and that too within your budget.

Simply hang some pictures (you could take some colourful pictures related to big wedding celebrations or that of the wedding decors itself). Hang them using twine at your reception venue. Another DIY decor idea using the photographs is to create a picture clothesline. Use some clothespins to hang the photos or you could punch tiny perforations to hang them using the twine and tie it to the clothesline.

Hang some glass bottles/mason jars filled with flowers and fairy lights from the ceiling of your wedding venue or the tree branches. To add the fairy lights make a small hole on the bottle using a drill so that your fairy lights connected to the power. They are fun and could add some fun elements to your wedding.

Add some colour to the backdrop of the stage which is the most photographed part of a wedding venue. Use your colourful plain shawls or your mamma's plain sarees to create a beautiful background (but don't go overboard). Decorate it with fairy lights to get the perfect look.

If you don't want much colour on the stage instead of the colour coordinated shawls/sarees use sheer white curtains and place the fairy lights inside the curtains. To add some fun to the decor place a large candid picture or a large caricature of the bride and groom at the stage. Paper flowers or (if you are ready to blow your budget) real flowers could use to decorate the stage.

Use candles a lot to decorate the venue. While using it don't forget to take safety measures to avoid any disaster. Use quirky candle holders as table centrepiece it would light up your decor. If it is a poolside party, then use floating candles to add the glam to your party.

Use your old colour coordinated bangles to create layered chandeliers and hang them around your venue.

Arrange a photo booth for the guests. Add some exciting props such as masks, cut-outs of pouts, huge retro glasses, moustaches etc... and unique backgrounds to the photo booth.

Another great DIY idea is to hang paper DIY lanterns around the venue or you can light them up to launch in the sky.
