Bollywood queen Rani Mukhejee tied the knot with Aditya Chopra, the head of Yashraj Films on April 24, 2014, putting down the suspense and years of speculation about their affair.
The event which was the result of a close knitted affair was held as a private family affair in an Italian countryside. Karan Johar who directed Rani in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna is the only person from the filmdom to attend the event. The wedding was declared to the media by a spokesperson from Chopra's production house and through Aditya's brother Uday Chopra's tweets.
Rani Mukherjee commented on this: "I would like to share the happiest day of my life with all my fans all over the world whose love and blessings have been part of my journey all these years… I have always believed in fairy-tales and, with God's grace, my life has been exactly like one, and now as I enter the most important chapter of my life — the fairy-tale continues." Mr Chopra, son of legendary Bollywood film-maker Yash Chopra, has directed blockbusters likeDilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, and Mohabbatein.
