Weddings are special occasions and all of us want to look good while attending a wedding. Ther are no rules that only the bride and the groom should look good. Even if you are not part of the bridal gang (the sister, bridesmaids, and cousins group) you should look pleasant and good while attending a wedding. The only rule here is not to upstage the bride; after all, it is her big day.
Even if you are a wedding guest you need to look good. Good clothes and apt makeup could give you the perfect look. So put in a little effort to get the perfect makeup. Don't worry if you are not an expert on the subject of makeup. We would help you to get the perfect wedding guest make up.
Start with skin care. Make sure that your skin is perfectly clean before you apply the makeup. Moisturise it well using your regular brand. Let it settle for about 15 minutes.
Now apply the primer; it will act as a barrier between your skin and the foundation and it will also help the foundation last longer.
Apply foundation now. Select a foundation with the matte finish; it will help you from tweaking the makeup in between the wedding celebrations. Another important thing to do is to set the foundation with some loose powder to make your foundation stay long.
Now move on to highlight your eyes. We will start with eyeshadow. One big mistake people make is trying to match the colour of your eyeshadows with your dress colour. Ladies we tell you there are no such rules and as you are a wedding guest you don't have to attract all (wrong) attention to you by going for the dramatic colours. Select colours like beige, rose, light pink or blue (lighter versions). Apply darker shade on your crease (it will help to define the eye shape)
Start from the outer corner of the eye and blend it halfway through the eyelid. Apply lighter shades at the brow bone to highlight the eyes; it will help to soften the look.
Use a kohl pencil to frame the eyes. Don't use it inside the linings of your eyes. It will give you and older look. Apply it on the lower lashes and smudge it properly to get a smokey look. Next line your eyes on top using a liquid liner or eye pencil. If you are going for an ethnic look then give it a winged look.
Next add volume to your top eyelashes with one or two coats of mascara.
If you are going for a completely smokey eye look then it is better to keep your lips in nude tones. As we are keeping the eyes soft you could apply darker shades on your lips. After you put your lip colour apply a transparent lip gloss to get the fuller lips look.
If you are interested then add a little touch of colour to your cheeks. Use a light colour blush and apply it from the centre of the cheekbones to the temple area.
