Gali Janardhan Reddy - the former Karnataka minister and mining baron - has taken the innovation in wedding cards to a new surprising level. The wedding invitation that has been created for his daughter Bramhani, who is tying the knot with Rajeev Reddy in November, has taken the internet by storm.
The invitation comes in a box and as soon as one opens it a small LCD screen comes alive and the text 'Bramhani weds Rajeev Reddy' accompanied by music is shown. The innovation doesn't end here, soon after the text fades the tainted minister along with his family (wife and son) appears on the screen singing (well lip syncing) 'adithi devobava' introducing his daughter and the groom.
Soon stars (bride and groom) make their entry in total filmy style with the girl swirling her skirt and the boy walking in slow-motion with many white stallions in the background. Towards the end of the one minute video, the Reddy family invites the guests to the wedding announcing the date and venue.
The family has spent quite a fortune on the wedding card with the elaborate sets and song sequence.
The November wedding is expected to be a grand star-studded event. Now, people are waiting to see how the mining baron is going to plan the big fat wedding.
Reddy is not new to controversies, the former minister has spent three years in jail in connection with the illegal mining issue and is now out on bail.
