India's youngest MP ties the knot

INLD MP Dushyant Chautala married Meghna, daughter of an IPS officer on Tuesday. The lavish wedding was held at a five-star hotel in Gurgaon.

 

The wedding was attended by many political bigwigs, including Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki, Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar, Steel Minister Birender Singh, Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister of State for Agriculture Sanjeev Balyan and many prominent leaders from Haryana.

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev was also on the guest list.

 

Dushyant who represents Hisar Lok Sabha constituency is the youngest MP ever elected to Parliament (he was 26 at the time of election). Dushyant has got a long political lineage as he is the son of politician Ajay Chautala, the grandson of former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala and the great-grandson of former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhary Devi Lal.

 

The bride Meghna Alhawat is the daughter of Paramjit Singh Ahlawat, an IG rank officer in Haryana Police.


Dushyant's father and grandfather are serving a 10-year jail term in the Junior Basic Trained (JBT) teachers' recruitment scam case and are currently out on parole for the wedding.
