How to set up a perfect bedroom for Wedding night

Feb 26 2018     By Wedding Street

You must be dreaming of being with her on that special night for months now. Along with being excited, you must be confused on how to make things up to her. Whether to use  purple flowers or pink bed sheet and how to decorate the room will make you go nuts. But, this time you have to take up the charge and make every single effort significant. This day will not come back. As we used to say, a couple may go for trips around the globe. But, the most memorable one will be the honeymoon, even if it was to the nearest city. First night is not only about being together, but creating memories together. So, make sure that everything is perfectly planned and executed.

Here are some things to keep in mind while you make your room ready for your exceptional night.

1. Bedding

The cot can be selected by its shape or decor. But, the bed should be chosen keeping in mind, the long term use and comfort. If the space and budget permits, go for a King size or Queen size bed set. This will be useful when you have kids and you don't need to struggle for space. Having some extra space can never be a bad idea. Go for a quality bed that is healthy and long lasting. You can use a comfort under the bedcover for more comfort. Colours of bed sheet can be according to her colour taste. Traditionally white or light shades are preferred while having a plain silk/satin black bed sheet also can be the most daring decision ever.

2. Floral Decoration

Most of the times we tend to generalise that women like pink and go for it. There are traditional benchmarks which prefer jasmine flowers all over the bed and cot. The first and foremost thing is that never over do anything. If you want to decorate the room with rose, make a heart with rose petals on the bed. If you do not want to risk, make that floral heart on the floor. Check beforehand that whether your partner has any floral allergies.  Do not over decorate the room with strong smelling flowers like jasmine which can give you a floral hangover, next morning.

3. Candles and Scented Materials

If you are planning for a candle light night decor, be careful with the choice of flavours. You should ensure that both of you are not having any respiratory issues. f you use scented candles or pot pouris inside your air conditioned bedroom, that can cause slight suffocation for people who has sensitive lungs. So, in an intention of doing good, do not put your health in trouble. Use a minimum of candles because less is more. Make sure you do not spray any other room fresheners, if you are going for scented items because a mixture of different fragrances can be a very bad idea.

4.Lighting

Dim warm lighting is the best for a special night. If you have bright lights in the room, arrange a small table lamp which can set the mood. If you are going for candles, you can skip this. But, always have a small light near your bed or if it is far away, you need a switch near the bed. You can have blinds in your bedroom which can make any day, look like night.

5. Customise and Personalise

You can go for customised bedcovers, lights or even candles. You can have your romantic photos printed on the bed sheet or side lamp. If it is not nailed on the wall, you can also gift her the same. You can also frame a beautiful moment of both of yours and complete the bedroom set up. Make sure that she does not visit your room before night. Make this whole set up an amazing surprise which she rekindles lifelong.
