On the wedding day, the bride will have to apply makeup before the arrival of the guests. So basically the bride will have to keep her make up to about 8 to 9 hours. By the end of the day, her face will appear tired and dried spots will be on her face, where the makeup has worn out.
Don't worry; follow these simple steps to get your makeup last longer.
The first step is to have a clean canvas to apply makeup. So as the first step wash your face and get rid of the extra oil, dirt and sebum from your face using a good cleanser. Pat dry your face gently and apply a good moisturiser on your face. Make sure that your moisturiser is oil-free and also has a good amount of SPF in it.
Let it set on your skin for a couple of minutes, after that apply a face primer which would act as a base coat on your face and keep your foundation stay perfectly. It will cover pores, blemishes, and imperfections on your skin.
Once you apply foundation on your face, use a good makeup setting spray over your foundation. It will help to lock the makeup on your face for long.
You should again apply this makeup setting spray on your face once you finish applying the makeup on your face. It will help your makeup to stay longer.
Tell one of your friends to keep an emergency makeup kit with her. So that you can do a little touch up if you find your lipstick is fading or your face needs a little compact. But don't overdo it.
One of the mistakes the brides usually make is reapplying layers of make up every couple of hours. It will make you look weird and cakey. Don't touch your face with your hands, it will transfer the oil and dirt from your hands (well we didn't mean you are unhygienic) to your face. Use a blotting sheet to wipe the excess oil without spoiling your makeup.
Stay cool and try not to get hyper as sweat can create problems to your makeup.
