Preparing for a wedding is no easy task. It requires tremendous patience and skill to organise a successful wedding function.

An area you need to take extra care while organising the wedding is that of satisfying your guests. Well, it may be not expensive compared to arranging the rest of the wedding, but you need to be very patient and well prepared to meet any adverse situations anytime.

Even after spending crores for the wedding your single mistake could leave your guests annoyed. As nobody wants to be in such a situation we advise you to follow these simple steps to have a well loved and remembered wedding day.

Send the wedding cards at least three months before the wedding. It will give the guests ample time to decide whether they want to be part of the wedding or let you know if they can't. It also gives them time to prepare for the wedding (shopping and what else).

If you are having a destination wedding, then it is better to create a wedding website so that your guests would know the travel details, contact details, maps, dress codes etc. You should update it periodically so that it would give the latest information to the guests.

In some cases, you may also need to take care of the travel/transportation details and accommodation of the wedding guests, especially if it is a destination wedding.

Also, think about the comfort of the guests while planning a wedding. If it is held in a hall then make sure that there is enough ventilation and fan/ACs for the guests. If it is an outdoor wedding then appoint someone to take care of the needs of the guests. Distribute enough water bottles/juices to the guests to keep them hydrated and don't forget to distribute hand fans.

An important point to remember while organising an outdoor wedding in the evening is to burn mosquito repellent candles in and around the venue so that your guests are safe from the bloodsucking mosquitoes.

A usual complaint of the wedding guests is that while they were happy with the wedding venue washrooms were untidy. So while you book the venue specifically ask the owners to appoint someone to keep the toilets and the wash area clean throughout the wedding day.

Food is another section which tends to invite a lot of complaints from the guests. So take precautions to abort such situations.

Appoint someone responsible for distributing the giveaway gifts to all the guests. And most importantly be a gracious host and try to personally acknowledge the wedding gifts you received and send thank you notes or SMSes.
