How to drive away the honeymoon panic in arranged marriage?
We cannot generalise the tips for arranged marriage and love marriage. Though there are some common things in both, there are more differences than similarities. In arranged marriage, you will know your partner, after the marriage. There is comparatively less time spent with each other in the case of an arranged marriage. It will take time to adjust and understand each other. At this point, honeymoon will make both the partners a little panic and that is quite normal. Let us find out a few things that can ease you out.
#1 Gift’s and Surprises
A gift will surely help to break the ice between the strangers tied together in the bond of marriage. Pamper your partner by making a personalised gift that suits the occasion. You can also go for her favourite items if you already know them. If not, play safe with a perfume or watch. This can also be done with the help of her friends who know her well.
#2 Arrange a Date Night
Honeymoon should not be the first time you both spent private time. You can plan a dinner date before your trip and discuss your preferences. What else could you partner ask for, if you have taken the effort to do something to make your partner feel special? You don't need a fancy restaurant or candlelight dinner to impress her. A maggie dinner on a riverside or even your terrace may do the magic. You can talk about your likes and dislikes openly and this will strengthen your relationship.
#3 Decide Together
Surprises are great. But, what if you have booked the most exotic beach destination and she is a mountain person? All your efforts will be in vain. You can rather discuss where both of you wish to go and plan together with the whole trip. These planning sessions are going to help you know each other well.
#4 Short and Sweet before long and exciting
You can go for a pre-honeymoon short vacation on a weekend. This will nurture your emotions and calm you down. You will know what to expect in your real honeymoon and also gets a sneak peak of your romantic days ahead. It can be a road trip or a package tour. But, make sure you both get enough private time and you stay together at least for a night, outside your home.
#5 Money and Honey should go hand in hand
If your plan is to take her to the nearest hill station and she expected a Mauritius trip, your honeymoon is not going to do anything good for you and your relationship. So, you can openly state your budget plans and also keep aside a little extra for shopping or gifting something unique to your honeymoon destination. This will also help you both identify your economic preferences.
