Coordinating outfits of bride and groom for the reception is a much-followed trend. While most couples have a tendency to wear clothes in the same colour, there are a plenty of ways you could follow this trend.
Why buy the same colour clothes when you could create a stunning look by picking up a contrasting colour.
If you are wearing a red dress then ask your beau to pick something in dark blue. The bride's red or orange dress will look great if the groom wears beige, cream and peach. Hot pink can be matched with beige, cream, mint green, pastel pink or dark blue.
If it is pastel pink you prefer then ask your man to find an outfit in beige, cream, mint green or grey. Your deep blue or green could be matched with cream, beige, or pale blue or green.
Red is not the only colour that goes well with dark blue. Beige, cream and pastel pink will also look great with it. Gold will find a perfect partner in cream, beige and maroon.
Bride's bright yellow can be matched with mint, blush pink, baby blue, peach, ash grey and white.
Another option is to pick a certain colour or pattern from the bride's dress; for example colour of her dupatta, to get inspiration for the groom's wear. If the bridal wear is in multicolour then pick a less visible colour from it for the groom to make it less jarring.
To give it a fresh look the groom could pick the bride's colour in his accessories instead of his outfit. Use the bride's outfit colour on your pocket square. If it is a sherwani the groom wearing then he should pick a dupatta in the bride's outfit shades.
