A civil engineer from Chhattisgarh has won many hearts with his unique request to the guests who have been invited to his wedding. Instead of any expensive gifts or demands for service, he requested the guests who wish to give wedding gifts to substitute it with old books.

Prashant Mahto, the groom, got this special request printed on his wedding invite.

Indian weddings are kind of notorious for their lavish settings and expenditure, as Prashant was not into any of this show of wealth wanted his guests to bring the old books that will be donated to students from humble backgrounds.

The groom himself is running an organisation for two years that provides education for poor kids. So far his organisation has distributed more than 50 thousand books to around 850 students in Chhattisgarh. The organisation has about 550 volunteers.

Instead of wasting money in the name of wedding lavishness the educated should do something noble that would bring a smile on the face of others.
