Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had been spotted at the Airport after their wedding where Priyanka carried her perfect newly-wed look with style. Sindoor, choora and a green saree with wedding glow gave her the complete look for the day. But, photos of her wedding and reception are out only yesterday. People Tv has released every detail of the wedding with heartwarming images of the functions. Let's find out the details...
After tying the knot in two elaborate ceremonies at Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan Palace, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas are hosted their first wedding reception in Delhi on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is among the high-profile guests at the couple's reception that took place at the Taj Palace. Priyanka and Nick married twice with an amalgamation of Indo-Western cultures. A while ago, the newlywed couple also shared their first official pictures from their two highly-anticipated ceremonies, which come just three months after they were engaged in August in a traditional Indian 'roka' ceremony. Nick also shared the same pictures later. "And forever starts now," wrote Priyanka while Nick captioned them as, "Happiest day of my life."On Saturday after the Christian marriage service, an elaborate dinner and the after-party was organised that apparently went late into the night. The couple also hosted a dance-off with their families at the party.
For her Delhi Reception, Priyanka looked stunning in a champagne-hued Falguni Shane Peacock lehenga, Nick looked dapper in a blue velvet suit. The couple was accompanied by Nick's brother Joe Jonas, and his fiancee, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, who stunned in a Sabyasachi pastel lehenga which she teamed with an elegant neck piece and the teeka on her forehead. For Saturday’s ceremony, both Jonas and Chopra, 36, were dressed in Ralph Lauren. The bride wore a hand-beaded and embroidered gown from the American designer, in addition to a 75-foot long veil, as her mother, Madhu, walked her down the aisle. Embroidered into the veil were eight significant words selected by Chopra herself, including “Family, Hope and Compassion,” the designer revealed.
Nick’s tuxedo came with a hidden secret of its own: a piece of the bride’s dress hand-embroidered with the Urdu words “My Jaan” (Meaning “my life.”). For the Hindu wedding on December 2, the couple wore outfits designed by Sabyasachi. Priyanka glowed in a red embroidered lehenga and Nick wore a sherwani. Sabyasachi revealed that it took 3,720 hours to create the "modern masterpiece" - Priyanka's lehenga. "As an ode to the resplendence of Mughal jewellery, her wedding jewellery was crafted with uncut diamonds, emeralds and Japanese cultured pearls in 22 karat gold and had delicate tiny stars in uncut diamonds to give a sense of whimsy to an important traditional piece". .Nick Jonas reportedly flew in chefs to prepare the 18-foot wedding cake for his and Priyanka Chopra’s wedding. The extravagant cake has at least six layers, and the couple cut it with a knife that the internet is saying looks more like a sword.
