DeepVeer celebrations kickstarts before Deepavali!

This festive season Bollywood is not really keen about Deepavali celebration of celebrities, but the big fat DeepVeer wedding is around the corner. Though the stunning couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have scheduled their wedding on November 14 and 15 in Lake Como in Italy, the festivities began already. Yes! You heard it right. The most romantic couple is one step closer to be the husband and wife. Deepika Padukone was seen in an eye-catching Sabyasachi bandhgala suit matched with an embellished dupatta with heavy embroidery work for her first wedding ceremony. The ‘nandi ceremony’ took place in her Bengaluru residence on Friday.

The colorful happy news was broke to the social media by Deepika’s longtime friend and stylist, Shaleena Nathani when she posted the photos of the function with the gorgeous bride-to-be with a lovely caption ‘Love you to the moon and back. So so so so so sooooo happy for you.  Can’t wait for it all to start. You deserve all the happiness in the world and more’.  Deepika’s puja look was complete with the saffron suit and Sabyasachi signature jhumkis, nude pink lips and kohled brown hued eyes. Along with Shaleena, Deepika’s hair stylist Gabriel Georgiou was also seen in the function. Gabriel marked on the social media ‘Honoured today to witness this #Pooja - The beginning of a new chapter’. She was glowing like a star on the day. Whether it is a clue that Sabyasachi is going to design her wedding attire is to be seen as he was also present for the pre-wedding ceremony.

The Nandi ceremony is held in the houses of both the bride and the groom. This puja ensures that all the wedding ceremonies go without any challenges and hitches. The puja is performed by the family priest and the couple will be blessed with a life of happiness and longevity. The couple will dedicate the first wedding invitation card to the God and seek his presence on the auspicious day. A coconut placed on the top of a copper pot filled with holy water indicates the beginning of wedding celebrations.  The copper pot symbolizes the Amrit, which is the nectar of life. This is performed 10 days before the real wedding functions kick start.

Almost all the pictures which are out in the social media are candid ones which captured the beautiful bride-to-be in her widest smiles and happy moments. This is a ceremony in accordance with the Hindu wedding rituals followed in the state of Karnataka.  The wedding will be a private affair but there will be two grand receptions for the gala time of friends and family in Mumbai and Bengaluru.

For those who missed the start, after making the fans wait for 6 years, the couple will be one in another two weeks. The couple announced their marriage on October 21 with a thanks note for the fans and followers.

Let’s wait for more updates on the couple.
