A US couple has finally found their ideal wedding destination about 17,000 feet above sea level.
The couple Ashley Schmeider and James Sisson from California always wanted an adventure wedding. So when it was time to take the marriage vows they decided to go for an adventure of a lifetime and get married on the Mt Everest base camp.
The wedding planning had started about a year ago as they had to undergo training for the risky trek to the base camp. They also had to wait to receive the permit from the authorities in Nepal to trek up to the tallest peak in the world.
They couple were accompanied by specialist adventure wedding photographer Charleton Churchill from California to document their adventure wedding.
The fun loving couple exchanged the vows in front of the Khumbu icefall and the Nuptse Face served a perfect backdrop for the wedding.
The couple exchanged vows in front of the famous Khumbu icefall, and with the stunning Nuptse Mountain in the backdrop. The temperature at the time of their wedding was about -20-degree Celsius and they had to deal with severe altitude sickness during their stay.
