Photo booths at the wedding venue may be a novel idea for the Kerala audience, but it is a good concept to add some fun elements to your wedding.
Your guests can pose at these booths with fun props and the pictures could be epic.
You can either go for a DIY method or ask a professional photographer to help you set a photo booth at your wedding venue.
All you need are a perfect backdrop to the spectacular pictures, a camera (preferably a DSLR), tripod and a camera shutter release remote. You should either find a volunteer to take the photos or give the remote to the guests so that they themselves could take the pictures.
First, find a spot which gets the perfect amount of natural light (if it is an evening function use proper lights). Before inviting guests to the booth you yourself (we didn't mean the bride and groom you will be obviously busy in the preparations, get a cousin or friend for the job) should try it to understand the light.
Now create a perfect background for the pictures. It could be a simple but beautiful curtain or a collage of colourful dupattas or sarees, paper décor, ribbons etc… over a rode or it could even be an artistically decorated wall of flowers. You can also set or hang frames around the booth.
Now set the camera on a tripod. As mentioned earlier check the camera angles before the guests arrive.
No photo booth is complete without the fun crazy props. You can use sparkly hats, oversized retro eyeglasses, masks, funny plastic lips, moustaches on sticks, foam fingers etc...
Voila, your photo booth is ready for action. Here are some pictures to inspire you. Enjoy...
