Geeta, who won India's first ever gold medal in women's wrestling at the Commonwealth Games 2010, is the first women wrestler to have qualified for the Olympics.

The two wrestlers brought an interesting twist to their traditional wedding by taking an eighth phera (marriage wows around the sacred fire) for the girl child, to give the society a powerful message on the 'Beti Bachao Beti Padao' campaign.
