Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter Veena and DYFI (Democratic Youth Federation of India) national president Mohammad Riyas tied the knot in a low-key ceremony held today. The marriage function was held at Cliff House, official residence of the chief minister at Thiruvananthapuram. Only a few guests including close relatives and friends attended the ceremony which was in compliance with COVID-19 protocol.
Veena is an IT entrepreneur. After working with leading software firms like Oracle, she set up own company named Exalogic Solutions in Bangalore. Riyas is one of the young faces of the CPM and a familiar face in the TV channel discussions. He was appointed as DYFI national president in 2017. He contested in Lok Sabha elections in 2019 from Kozhikode, but lost to UDF’s M.K Raghavan.
