You can choose luxury or semi-luxury coaches to conduct the wedding and the IRCTC will not just offer the ambience but also offers five-star facilities, splendid food and services, decor and other services such as spas and saunas available in a luxury resort.
This new move by the IRCTC to invest in the new trend of destination weddings will help it to receive more revenue.
One of the most luxurious trains in the world Maharaja Express and other luxury trains like Palace on Wheels, Golden Chariot, Deccan Odyssey and Rajasthan on Wheels are operated by the IRCTC and Indian Railways. This was informed by a railway official in an interview to a leading newspaper.
All these trains will be available to host luxurious weddings and you can also customise the services according to your need. The cost will depend on the facilities you availed.
The Maharaja Express offers an 8 day tour covering the palaces and forts of Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, Jaipur, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Balasinor.
The IRCTC is mainly targeting foreigners who are obsessed with the pomp and grandeur connected with Indian weddings through this new service.
